Our Desert Jasper (aka Polychrome Jasper) is mined directly from our Norcross-Madagascar (NMG) Jasper fields. We mine alluvial Desert Jasper rough right from the surface with minor excavating and using simple equipment.
Desert Jasper is generally a colorful Jasper that is described as poly-chrome in color.
It includes red Jasper, pink Jasper, brown Jasper, purple Jasper, black Jasper, light blue Jasper and grey jasper in colorful swirls.
Some confuse Desert Jasper with Picture Jasper, another colorful Jasper.
